"In its 30th year, the fish international once again confirmed its status as our flagship trade fair. It's more important to the industry than ever", said Hans Peter Schneider, Managing Director of Messe Bremen & ÖVB-Arena. "The combination with our catering trade fair GASTRO IVENT also proved a big success."

Many exhibitors were full of praise for the fish international. "We had a lot of very good conversations with German and also foreign partners", said Mert Kecici, Sales Director of Marine Harvest DACH GmbH. "With its strong connections to neighbouring countries, the fish international really lives up to its name."

"We'll definitely be back in two years", said Ralf Forner, Managing Director of Transgourmet Seafood. "We were able to hold great and constructive talks, and we're very happy about how the trade fair went and the customer response."

Turkey's largest trout producer, Gümüşdoğa, is also planning to come back after its first time in Bremen. "Our goal was to attract more customers in Germany. I'm delighted to say we made a lot of promising contacts – also with companies from Poland and Belgium", said company employee Eray Koşay.

The fish international was complemented by the GASTRO IVENT running simultaneously. Also at the same time, Fleischer-Einkauf AG held its company trade fair.

The next fish international will take place from Sunday 9th to Tuesday 11th February 2020.
