03/11/2017: Taiwan International Fisheries and Seafood Show

 Next week will see host to Taiwan International Fisheries and Seafood Show! Held between November 9-11, the show will see advanced technology come together from all over the world, leading to an undoubted industry upgrade. 

 The show will be directed by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA, Fishery Agency, Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, Taiwan, ROC and the Kaohsiung City Government. 
It has been organised by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), My Exhibition CO., Ltd. 

 The show hours are between 10am and 6pm, closing at 5pm on the last day and will be held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (KEC). 

The exhibition areas will be broken down into a multitude of sections - 

  • Fishing Equipment and Technology
  • Aquaculture
  • Seafood and Value-added Seafood
  • Processing Equipment
  • Fishery Services
  • Local Government and Academia
  • Oversea Exhibitors
  • Marine Biotechnoloy 
 The show figures show that in 2016 there was 212 exhibitors whereas this year there are projected to be 220, last year 401 booths and this year 420. The number of visitors is also expected to increase, 6,553 recorded last year and 7,000 are projected for this year.
