Studies on fish discarded trimmings for use in feed by HSWRI

Hubbs discard research
Discards from fish processing are often of no real use, but Hubbs-Sea World Research Institute are looking into using these discards in feeds for their aquaculture facilities. Hubbs are using locally sourced fish trimming in their study to replace industrial fish meal and fish oil in aquaculture feeds and marine finfish. This research offers a unique challenge it could also reduce cost of fish feeds in the long term. Read more ...
